Ava Hase
Ava Hase is an actor/writer/director from Brooklyn, NY, currently based in Los Angeles, CA. She received her BFA in Acting from CalArts, where her love for filmmaking and screenwriting also took off. Her work often takes on a dark-comedic and whimsical tone, centering oddballs and misfits in all of their vulnerability. Her short films Kitty Kitty, Cowards, Thank You, Tabby Tobias One Meatball and web series A Person Named Universal Love have been featured in online-indie-film spheres such as MUBI, Vimeo, NoBudge, and Directors Notes. Cowards also screened at The IFC Center in New York. Her first feature script Angel Wanted got into the second round of the Austin Film Festival’s Script Competition in the Comedy Feature category.
Creative producer (AKA team mom) of Angel Wanted, Rebecca is a bilingual and bicultural French producer in Los Angeles. She is co-owner and CEO of Undertone Films.
She holds an MFA in Film Production from the American Film Institute Conservatory (class of 2023). During her graduate studies, she produced 5 narrative shorts, co-wrote 1 narrative short, produced and co-directed a 35mm MOS/Visual Essay, and wrote her first 3 feature scripts. She’s since produced shorts, music videos, and co-produced her first feature.
